Hollywood’s biggest studios are preparing for a massive lineup of sequels and franchise revivals, with several fan-favorite titles officially moving into production or nearing release. From animated worlds returning to the big screen to long-running action sagas reaching their final chapter, 2025–2026 is shaping up to be a huge phase for franchise entertainment.

One of the most anticipated releases is Zootopia 2, which brings back Disney’s beloved animal city with fresh mysteries and new characters. The first film became a global hit, and expectations for the sequel are extremely high among animation fans.

Universal’s musical fantasy Wicked: For Good is also gaining strong momentum, promising a visually rich continuation of the “Wicked” storyline. With a star-studded cast and massive production scale, the film is expected to be one of the biggest musical releases of the decade.

Meanwhile, the sci-fi thriller universe expands further with Predator: Badlands, which plans to explore a darker timeline and introduce new survival-horror elements. Reports suggest the film will go back to the franchise’s gritty roots and focus heavily on suspense.

Action fans have their eyes set on Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, widely speculated to be the concluding chapter of Ethan Hunt’s storyline. With the franchise known for extreme stunts and large-scale action sequences, the final installment is expected to deliver a dramatic send-off.

In another surprising move, Sony is reportedly developing a Men in Black reboot, aiming to reintroduce the iconic alien-hunting agency to a new generation. Early updates hint at a fresh cast and a modern storyline without repeating previous arcs.

Horror lovers also have plenty to look forward to. The Conjuring franchise is returning with a new chapter centered around unexplored cases from the Warren family archives. Alongside it, a new Paranormal Activity movie is said to be in the works, focusing on a different storyline that expands the found-footage horror universe.

With all these sequels and reboots gearing up simultaneously, audiences can expect the next two years to be packed with large-scale releases, nostalgia-driven returns, and bold new directions in major Hollywood franchises.
