The Maharashtra election results were declared today (21st December 2025) in which Mahayuti has secured a single, dominant victory. BJP again crossed 100+ mark in many tallies including Vidarbha, Western Maharashtra, Nashik belt and consolidated urban voter base and MVA struggled to retain traditional strongholds .
BJP leaders called it a vote of confidence while the opposition blamed splits, money power, and alliances. For the opposition, the verdict felt like a storm dismantling fragile alliances.Mahayuti which consists of BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) has secured a numerical majority as well as gained success in reinforcing its political influence at the grassroots level.
The results reflect both the strength of the alliance and the challenges facing the opposition in regaining lost ground. As counting concluded, the lotus blossomed across municipal councils, signaling BJP’s firm hold on Maharashtra’s local politics.Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his gratitude for this glorious victory to all the electorates for showing their trust towards the BJP led governance. Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavan rejected the opposition’s claims as ‘fake’ and had described the outcome as a decisive mandate.
