Imran Khan is back in the spotlight after a long break from the Bollywood industry. He is celebrating his 42nd birthday today, along with his recent comeback with Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, 11 years after his last release. The movie is set to release on 16 January 2026, a major acting project after his decade long break. The film also reunites him with Vir Das and Aamir Khan after their last cult classic, Delhi Belly in 2011.

The comeback news brought immense happiness among fans and with this, all his early comedy roles surfaced with other viral memes. As per earlier reports, it was also speculated that he would be collaborating again with the director of Break ke Baad for his comeback, and this again brought him into the trending list, making him a huge topic again.
A Glimpse Into His Career and Life
Imran Khan was born on 13 January 1983 in the U.S.A. to a Bengali Hindu father and a Muslim mother. He comes from the Khan-Hussain family, known for its long history in film. He is the nephew of actor Aamir Khan and filmmaker Mansoor Khan and the grandson of director-producer Nasir Hussain.
He made his debut through small roles in films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988 and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar in 1992. He made his adult debut with the romantic comedy Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na in 2008 which became a hit and earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
Some of his other popular work includes I Hate Luv Storys and Break Ke Baad in 2010, Delhi Belly, a cult favourite, and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in 2011 and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu in 2012. Despite his early huge success, he took a break after his last release, Katti Batti in 2015, after which he stepped away from mainstream acting.
Personal Life
Imran was married to Avantika Malik in 2011 and divorced in 2019, together they have one child. As per some reports, he is in a relationship with Lekha Washington.
