Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has recently been making headlines, but not for some films but for a road accident. Akshay’s security convoy got involved with a vehicle and shook the busy Juhu area of Mumbai on Monday evening at around 9:00 pm near the Silver Beach Cafe, leaving at least two people injured and prompting a prompt response from authorities and bystanders.
Twinkle Khanna and Akshay were travelling in their private SUV, while Kumar’s security followed behind, forming part of his regular convoy.

According to information from police and eyewitnesses, the accident was triggered when a Mercedes car lost control and struck an auto-rickshaw from behind. The impact caused the rickshaw to overturn and collide with the escort vehicle in Akshay Kumar’s convoy. The security car, reportedly an Innova, was forced onto its right side, blocking part of the road and drawing immediate attention from locals.
The auto-rickshaw driver and a passenger were both injured in the crash. Visuals that circulated on social media showed bystanders and members of Kumar’s team working to free a man trapped inside the overturned autorickshaw. Both injured individuals were pulled out and rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving medical care.
Residents and eyewitnesses described tense moments as the three-wheeler lay crushed under the escort vehicle. One witness said that the scene was “scary to see” but emphasised that luckily there were no deaths.

While Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna were reported to be in a different car ahead of the convoy at the time of the accident, they were reportedly not hurt. Sources noted that Kumar stepped out shortly after the collision and assisted those affected, helping ensure they were brought to safety and that help arrived.
