TV actor Arjun Bijlani and his family are mourning a personal loss at the start of 2026. Arjun’s father-in-law, Rakesh Chandra Swami, suffered a brain stroke around December 29, 2025, and was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. Despite medical care and ventilator support, Swami passed away on the morning of January 1, 2026, at the age of 73.
Post the incident, Arjun and his wife, Neha Swami Bijlani, who were on a New Year vacation in Dubai, immediately cut short their trip and returned to Mumbai upon hearing the news. The couple was seen grieving deeply at the funeral, with Arjun visibly emotional and supporting his family during the last rites.
This sad event brought a sombre start to 2026 for the Bijlani and Swami families.
