After John’s photo went viral while he posed with his team in a casual setting, showing him not in his signature beard and clean-shaven look. His recent appearance made him nearly unrecognisable, making fans on social media respond strongly to the transformation. Many speculated he might be sick or have other issues. Many expressed shock, asking, “Yeh kya ho gaya?” (“What happened?”) and struggled to recognise him first. Whereas, other fans defended the actor reminding others that he is already in his 50s and that appearance changes naturally with age and urged not to judge him harshly.

John Abraham, who was born on 17 December 1972 in a Christian-Persian family, is a well-known actor, writer and producer known in the Hindi film industry. He began his career as a model before making his debut with Jism in 2003 alongside Bipasha Basu, whom he started dating while filming the erotic thriller, and broke up after dating for nearly eight to nine years in 2011. John came into prominence after his comedy hits like Dhoom, Garam Masala, Dostana, and New York. Over the year he earned the title “Fit action star” for his successful action films. Currently, he is rumoured to be filming Force 3 or the Maria IPS biopic.

The last film John appeared in was the political thriller Tehran in 2025, where he played a spy role and was loosely based on the real case of an Israeli diplomat attack in India by Iran, which is quite relevant in recent times.
