Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 runs to win their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title on Saturday.
Mumbai scored 149/7 in their 20 overs, with captain Harmanpreet Kaur leading the charge with 66 runs off 44 balls. Nat Sciver-Brunt contributed a steady 30.
Delhi Capitals, chasing 150, were bowled out for 141/9. Sciver-Brunt was the standout performer with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 30 runs, while Amelia Kerr supported with 2 wickets.
For Delhi, Marizanne Kapp was the top scorer with 40, and Jemimah Rodrigues made 30 runs, but the chase fell short.
