Prabhas’s The Raja Saab: Japan Release Plans & Mixed Reviews From Fans and Critics

Spread the love

Prabhas’s big-budget Telugu movie, The Raja Saab, has been making a buzz in the film industry and among audiences. The movie is set to release in Japan around three to six months after its release in India. The decision was because of his huge following in Japan, where his films like Baahubali: The Epic and Saaho performed very well.

Producers expect the same reaction as before the releases. The plan is to dub the film in the local language before its release in Japan; it shows how Indian cinema is no longer limited to an Indian audience. Prabhas’s past success overseas increases expectations that The Raja Saab could find a global audience, too. Unlike the excitement of the international release, the movie received mixed reviews in India from both critics and audiences. The Raja Saab was given 2 out of 5 stars from an Indian audience, as the horror fantasy comedy that runs for over three hours fails to impress the audience and critics alike.

About The Raja Saab Movie

The Raja Saab features a big cast, including Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, and Nidhhi Agerwal, and was directed by Maruthi Dasari and produced by People Media Factory & IVY Entertainment, with music by Thaman S.

Despite a great cast and high investment, the movie tried too hard to combine horror, comedy, fantasy, and romance, but did not succeed strongly in any one area. The comedy trio part was not enough to make the movie watchable for the audience. Prabhas, being the lead, didn’t impress people with his moment. Sanjay Dutt’s acting and moments were praised, unlike the female leads, as their roles didn’t add much to the storyline.

The movie’s editing, music and visual effects were labelled as “underwhelming” and slow despite being a horror comedy.

In short, the Raja Saab has ambitious goals, including an international release in Japan and a star cast, but the home audience’s responses were mixed, with many saying the film doesn’t fully deliver the fun, scares, or storytelling it promised.
